Station 136, Knettishall was known for its movie theater with plush seats, it's clubs, gymnasium, library, dry
cleaners - and for its hosting of local ladies for weekend dances - earning it the nickname, "The Country Club
of the 8th Air Force." The above photo was taken at the 388th's 200th Mission Party in February, 1944.
